Installations that are performed on 64-bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 may display an error message stating "This feature was not incorporated into your Office 2007 installation." The suggested workaround is to reboot the computer with the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) enabled by booting in safe mode with Command Prompt or WinRE. Note: This article does not apply to Office 2013, which has its own separate download page. Office 2007's setup is identical to the one of its predecessor, except for the ODT installer which is not included in the download. This installer must be installed after the main ODT Installer has completed. It may take a second or so for installing, so have patience if it doesn't immediately start downloading on its own. To add it, click Next to proceed with the installation.

The ODT is an add-on component, under all of Office's add-ons. Office 2007 requires that you install the Office Customization Tool (OCT), which is a separate installer from the main product download. Note: If you do not include periods within your confirmation code, you will be prompted with a warning and "The entry was not found in the list." You can then click Continue to continue installation. Remember to include any hyphens or periods if present within the code.

Please enter the confirmation code in the section below and click Continue when you are finished typing it in. For instance, you could have "K2D643-5N4W8V-ND0PD3-FJUNX6" for Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student Edition (US). You'll be asked to type a confirmation code, usually found at the front of your CD jewel case. Office 2007's installation gets a little more complicated from here. Step 3: Enter your confirmation code here.
